Tank Summary

The M60A2 is a heavy attacker that trades mobility for overwhelming firepower. Sharing the slowest top speed in the game with the FV4030, it struggles to quickly reposition or react to changing battlefield conditions. However, with a healthy 2,680 hit point pool it can assume the role of an off-tank at the front of battles, adding vital DPM to the team lineup in engagements.

Its primary weapon is a devastating howitzer capable of dealing significant damage with every shot, especially when upgraded with HEAT ammo. Supporting this are a pair of autocannons and a guided missile, giving the M60A2 an impressive arsenal that can rapidly overwhelm opponents when all systems are brought to bear. Few vehicles can match its burst damage potential at close range.

One of the M60A2's biggest drawbacks is it's lengthy reload cycle, taking a whole 7 seconds per shot. While the autocannons help maintain pressure during the main gun's reload, they will not always be available. Switched on enemies may exploit this knowledge. Also, Despite its respectable hit point pool, its armour is weak and lacking any sacrificial protection. As a result, incoming damage will not be mitigated, eating into that HP pool quickly.
