Strengths
The Object 287's exceptionally low profile is one of its greatest defensive assets. Sitting close to the ground with very little extending above the hull, it presents a difficult target for enemy commanders to engage effectively. This advantage becomes even more pronounced at point-blank range, where opponents may struggle to depress their guns enough to land reliable shots.
The Object 287 has a powerful combination of abilities that reward aggressive play. Commanders can initiate an engagement with its harpoon, dealing intital ramming damage, especially to lighter tanks before following up with its Tank Cage ability, which deploys hard-to-cross caltrops around the target that prevent an easy disengagement.
Another benefit of its size. Frontally the Obj. 287 presents a tough target. It's heavily swept armour profile and high forward mobility combine to make this tank difficult to engage effectively at intermediate ranges. By the time the enemy is in their effective range, they are in yours.
The Object 287 has a 2800 hit-point pool. The highest of all Attackers. As a result the 287 sits much closer to Defender in terms of survivability. This can give it impressive staying power in prolonged engagements allowing it to absorb punishment and remain a threat long after other attackers would have been forced to disengage.
The Object 287's auto-cannon is devastating at point-blank range. Combined with its APHE ammunition, enemy vehicles that are isolated, distracted, or already damaged can be eliminated in seconds if a 287 manages to close the distance. Opportunistic commanders can quickly punish positioning mistakes, turning vulnerable targets into wrecks before they have a chance to react.
Weaknesses
The Object 287 suffers from the lowest reverse speed in the game, limited to just 15 km/h. The Object 287 has little choice but to keep going forward. This can get commanders in trouble who's first instinct may be to reverse around a corner to get away from a threat. A tactic which may not work.
Whilst the front of the 287 is decently protected, the side and rear armour of the 287 is largely flat and thin. Knowing commanders will be able to exploit the large ammorack that sits low in the hull. Alternatively, the large fuel and engine make for easy targets for HE and HEAT equipped vehicles.
The Object 287 has a lengthy 8-second interclip reload, one of the longest in the game. Missing a shot or failing to secure a kill can be heavily punished as enemies are given a substantial window to retaliate while the weapon cycles. Effective target selection and shot placement are therefore critical to maximizing the vehicle's combat effectiveness.
The Object 287 is one of the few vehicles in the game that lacks any form of sacrificial armour. As a result, virtually every penetrating hit will inflict its full damage potential, making it far less forgiving than its durability might initially suggest. While the 287 does possess a respectable hit-point pool, it cannot mitigate any incoming damage, meaning sustained enemy fire can quickly wear it down.
One of the greatest threats to the Object 287 is its own playstyle. Its abilities heavily encourage aggressive, point-blank engagements, often drawing commanders deep into enemy lines. Players who fail to keep track of the wider battle or overcommit to a target may quickly find themselves isolated in the middle of the enemy team with limited options for escape and multiple guns focused on them.

Tank Summary
The Object 287 is an aggressive close-quarters attacker that excels at disrupting enemy formations and punishing isolated targets. Combining strong acceleration, a low profile, and a surprisingly large hit-point pool, it has the tools needed to force engagements on its own terms. Its harpoon and Tank Cage abilities work together to trap opponents, making it difficult for enemies to disengage once the fight has begun.
At close range, the 287 becomes exceptionally dangerous. Its rapid-firing auto-cannon is capable of tearing through distracted or damaged vehicles in seconds, while its harpoon can be used to set up devastating rams and prevent targets from escaping. The vehicle's low height further enhances its effectiveness in brawls, as opponents may struggle to depress their guns enough to land reliable return fire. In the hands of an aggressive commander, the 287 can quickly turn a small opening into a decisive advantage.
However, the Object 287 demands careful positioning and situational awareness. Its 8-second interclip reload leaves large windows for enemies to retaliate, and the vehicle lacks any form of sacrificial armour, meaning every hit it takes deals its full potential damage. Combined with the lowest reverse speed in the game, overcommitting can be fatal. Commanders who lose track of the battle or push too deeply into enemy lines may find themselves trapped without an escape route, making the 287 a vehicle that rewards aggression, but punishes recklessness.
